01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Set along a quiet street in Shinkawa, Taburu Dotto brings together bread baked fresh in-house each day and thoughtfully prepared Italian plates. A colorful way to begin is the salad loaded with Toyosu Market whitebait, where crisp onions and the briny freshness of the tiny fish pair naturally with a first drink. An Italian pilsner like Peroni Nastro Azzurro or a glass of chilled spumante sets a relaxed tone from the outset.
Hearty Mains and Seafood Pastas
The warm appetizers and mains showcase bold, comforting combinations. One house specialty features roasted Iwanaka pork loin cooked gently at low temperature, then blanketed in a rich sauce of braised pork and beans—an earthy, savory match for the freshly baked bread. Seafood options are just as deliberate, from medium-rare roasted swordfish sourced exclusively from fatty belly cuts to a karasumi pasta inspired by bottarga dishes tasted in Florence.
Unwinding over Dinner and Digestifs
Diners can explore an eclectic wine list spanning reds, whites, rosés, and orange wines to match each course. After the meal, the drink menu extends to grappa and other digestifs, as well as herbal tea and espresso brewed from Cock-tail-Do dark roast beans. Because seating is limited in this intimate dining room, advance reservations are recommended for an unhurried dinner.
